The Heroes arrive under the dark tidings of the siege on Molmont by the insidious Oni, Daimyo Koike no Masato from Nippon. General Wes and Viscount Secundus called a War Council to plan the liberation of Molmont. The din of the heroes arguing discussing the options in front of them could be heard far outside the walls that housed this meeting of minds. Carpathian and Nipponese forces would march to the aid of the Kingdom troops already gathered for the assault. The heroes would secure the Gateway to Molmont, and establish a beachhead for the forces to march on the Daimyo’s forces.
Meanwhile, the town was once again assaulted by a population of Fairy creatures. This time it was Chaotic Pixies, who did not seem to care whether it was time to play or fight. Their Fairy food provided snacks for the heroes who vanquished them. Something big has the Fairy creatures of Cerroneth in upheaval, what could be causing this? The heroes found a restless night’s sleep with the pressures of all the tragedies facing them in such a short time.
Saturday morning, Coopersvale was a mass of activity as the heroes prepared to face a massive army of Oni. Word began to spread of them turning back all attempts to send in scouts to the area. At Four Corners, near the Taltos Gateway Plaza, the armies of Cerroneth, Nippon, and Carpathia formed to march. The heroes arrived, and the attack was launched! Immediately upon moving through the gateway, the heroes were facing hordes of powerful Oni, and their animated creations. Not accepting any setbacks, the heroes quickly set up reinforcement positions for the Cerroneth army, the Carpathian Alchemists, and the Nipponese Spirit Hunters. Simultaneously, a band of heroes hailing mostly from Clanthia flew to the Morlond ships anchored South of the city, and began pelting the Oni army with cannon shot. As the forces of Daimyo Koike fought the heroes to a standstill, another group of Heroes reestablished the connection to the Leyline in Morlond, allowing Mage Lord Lanadil to flood the area with power, refreshing the heroes. It was a decisive battle from that point, with the Oni lord loosing ¾ of his army while trying - unsuccessfully - to breach the walls of Molmont. The heroes allowed him and a small guard to limp away from the battlefield in failure. The heroes had won the day for Cerroneth!
Back in Coopersvale for the evening, the heroes gathered and told stories. The Knights, newly gathered in allyship with some recent discovery, enjoyed a meal together. The Knights would later storm an abandoned keep in North Sundir, claiming it for Cerroneth and the Dark Order from Clanthia. Meanwhile the group of young children once again ran amuck in town, causing mischief and fun wherever they went.
Sunday morning brought an opportunity for the young heroes to attend a strange tea party. This tea party left them with more questions than answers, as collectively they hallucinated some hidden parts of Cerroneth’s ancient history.
The heroes also saw another aspect of the strange tragedy happening on Tyrra. The Underdark erupted, as many strange creatures normally hidden from the daylight erupted near town. Coopersvale was assaulted by a strange mixture of many different Underdark creatures. As they fought, those creatures intelligent enough to communicate warned of some horrible force coming this way. The heroes would soon find out what had forced these creatures out of their homes: a giant mass of nearly indestructible, hungry, fleshy ooze moved into town. It began trying to eat the heroes - but it too seemed to be driven onward by a strange featherless, eyeless bird prodding it onward.
Word also reached many that the villainous Daimyo Koike no Masato had somehow been vanquished, or found peace after the events at Molmont. His Oni army was reported to be seen on Terra Nocte, while those living Nipponese loyal to him also found some home of their own. What a strange occurrence after his attack on Molmont.
The world of Tyrra seems to be falling into chaos, and Cerroneth is at the center of it all. What is making this all happen?
